秘书长的任命

In resolution 77/335   of 1 September 2023, the General Assembly requested the Secretariat to establish, within existing resources, a dedicated webpage in all six official languages to serve as a repository of the relevant information, including vision statements, joint letters and General Assembly resolutions related to the selection and appointment process of the Secretary-General.

In accordance with Article 97 of the Charter of the United Nations, the Secretary-General is appointed by the General Assembly, on the recommendation of the Security Council.

第九任联合国秘书长安东尼奥·古特雷斯先生于2017年1月1日就职，他的前任有：

• 潘基文（大韩民国），2007年1月至2016年12月；
• 科菲·安南（加纳），1997年1月至2006年12月；
• 布特罗斯·布特罗斯-加利（埃及），1992年1月至1996年12月；

• 库尔特·瓦尔德海姆（奥地利），1972年1月至1981年12月；
• 吴丹（缅甸），1961年11月担任执行秘书长，1962年11月被正式任命为秘书长，任期至1971年12月；
• 达格·哈马舍尔德（瑞典），1953年4月任职，1961年9月在非洲不幸飞机失事罹难；
• 特里格夫·赖伊（挪威），1946年2月至1952年11月退休。
