The Secretary-General met with H.E. Mr. Félix-Antoine Tshisekedi Tshilombo, President of the Democratic Republic of the Congo. They discussed the situation in eastern Democratic Republic of the Congo, ongoing peace initiatives and the role of MONUSCO in supporting these efforts. The Secretary-General reiterated the United Nations’ continued commitment to advance sustainable peace and development in the DRC.
