The Secretary-General met with H.E. Mr. João Manuel Gonçalves Lourenço, President of the Republic of Angola. The Secretary-General congratulated the President for his leadership as Chair of the African Union for 2025-2026. The Secretary-General further thanked President Lourenço for his efforts to promote peace, security and sustainable development on the African continent.
