Readout of the Secretary-General’s meeting with H.E. Mr. James Marape, MP, Prime Minister of the Independent State of Papua New Guinea

The Secretary-General met with H.E. Mr. James Marape, MP, Prime Minister of the Independent State of Papua New Guinea.  The Secretary-General thanked the Prime Minister for his hospitality during the Secretary-General’s visit to Papua New Guinea and reaffirmed the longstanding partnership between the UN and Papua New Guinea.  
 
The Secretary-General and the Prime Minister discussed shared priorities including sustainable development, peacebuilding and climate finance.
