Readout of the Secretary-General’s meeting with H.E. Mr. Anura Kumara Dissanayake, President of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka

The Secretary-General met with H.E. Mr. Anura Kumara Dissanayake, President of the Democratic Socialist Republic of Sri Lanka. 

The Secretary-General commended the Government’s commitment to advancing economic stability and a political culture grounded in equality. The Secretary-General and the President discussed economic recovery, reconciliation and peacebuilding developments in Sri Lanka, as well as Sri Lanka’s contributions to UN peacekeeping.
