Readout of the Secretary-General’s meeting with H.E. Mr. William Samoei Ruto, C.G.H., President of the Republic of Kenya and Commander-in-Chief of the Defence Forces

The Secretary-General met with H.E. Mr. William Ruto, President of the Republic of Kenya and Commander-in-Chief of the Defence Forces. Their discussions focused on Kenya’s leadership of the Multinational Security Support Mission in Haiti (MSS). The Secretary-General conveyed his deep appreciation for Kenya’s commitment and leadership in advancing the Mission. 

They also exchanged views on ongoing international efforts to bring peace to Sudan.
