The Secretary-General met with H.E. Mr. Shavkat Mirziyoyev, President of the Republic of Uzbekistan. The Secretary-General and the President discussed cooperation between the United Nations and Uzbekistan, as well as regional developments. The Secretary-General expressed his appreciation for Uzbekistan’s initiatives aimed at promoting multilateralism and strengthened regional cooperation and its support for the United Nations.
