Readout of the Secretary-General’s meeting with H.E. Sheikh Hasina, Prime Minister of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh

The Secretary-General met with H.E. Sheikh Hasina, Prime Minister of the People’s Republic of Bangladesh. The Secretary-General expressed appreciation for the close cooperation between the United Nations and Bangladesh, including its major contribution to peacekeeping, as well as Bangladesh’s efforts in hosting the Rohingya refugees.
 
The Secretary-General and the Prime Minister also discussed the situation in Bangladesh and current global challenges.
