The Secretary-General met with H.E. Ms. Dina Ercilia Boluarte Zegarra, President of Peru. The Secretary-General recognized Peru’s commitment to UN priorities. The Secretary-General and the President discussed the reform of the international financial system and the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals. They further discussed the situation of Peru, as well as the challenges posed by El Niño weather phenomena. The Secretary-General confirmed the UN support for Peru’s development, governance and dialogue efforts.

El Secretario General se reunió con la Excelentísima Sra. Dina Ercilia Boluarte Zegarra, Presidenta de la República del Perú. El Secretario General reconoció el compromiso de Perú con las prioridades de las Naciones Unidas. El Secretario General y la Presidenta abordaron la reforma del sistema financiero internacional así como la implementación de los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible. También conversaron sobre la situación en Perú, prestando especial atención a los desafíos que plantea el fenómeno climático El Niño. El Secretario General reiteró el apoyo de la ONU a los esfuerzos de desarrollo, gobernanza y diálogo en Perú.
