Readout of the Secretary-General’s meeting with H.E. Ms. Penny Wong, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Australia

The Secretary-General met H.E. Ms. Penny Wong, Minister for Foreign Affairs of Australia. The Secretary-General and the Foreign Minister agreed on the importance of strengthening the multilateral system in the face of the many current global challenges. They discussed the need for accelerated action in response to climate change and implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals.
 
The Secretary-General expressed appreciation for Australia’s support to the Organisation.
