The Secretary-General met with H.E. Mr. Alexander Van der Bellen, Federal President; H.E. Mr. Karl Nehammer, Federal Chancellor; and H.E. Mr. Alexander Schallenberg, Federal Minister for European and International Affairs of the Republic of Austria. They discussed the impact of the war in Ukraine on Europe and beyond, as well as the need for further action on climate change. The Secretary-General expressed his profound gratitude to Austria for hosting the United Nations Office at Vienna.
