Readout of the Secretary-General’s meeting with H.E. Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, President of the Republic of Türkiye

The Secretary-General met with H.E. Mr. Recep Tayyip Erdoğan, President of the Republic of Türkiye. The Secretary-General and the President discussed the implications of the war in Ukraine, follow up to the Black Sea Grain initiative, and access of Russian grain and fertilizers to global markets. They also exchanged views on the situations in Syria and Libya. The Secretary-General and the President also discussed cooperation between the United Nations and Türkiye.
