Readout of the Secretary-General’s meeting with H.E. Mr. Yoon Suk Yeol, President of the Republic of Korea

The Secretary-General met with H.E. Mr. Yoon Suk Yeol, President of the Republic of Korea. The Secretary-General expressed hope that the parties would make progress towards sustainable peace and the complete and verifiable denuclearization of the Korean Peninsula. The Secretary-General thanked the Republic of Korea for its contribution to the United Nations and for its efforts to mitigate global challenges, including climate action, digitalization, and the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals.
