Readout of the Secretary-General’s phone call with H.R.H. Prince Mohammed Bin Salman, Crown Prince of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia

The Secretary-General spoke on Wednesday evening to His Royal Highness Prince Mohammed Bin Salman, Crown Prince of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, to appeal for urgent support to the UN Relief and Works Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA), which is facing a dramatic financial situation.

The Secretary-General also expressed his appreciation for Saudi Arabia’s support for the truce in Yemen and reiterated the UN’s commitment to supporting a lasting political solution in Yemen. They also discussed a number of other regional issues.
