The Secretary-General met with H.E. Ms. Isatou Touray, Vice-President of the Republic of The Gambia. They discussed progress made towards implementation of the reform processes and the impact of the COVID-19 pandemic on the socio-economic situation in the country. The Secretary-General expressed hope for the holding of an inclusive, peaceful and credible presidential elections in December 2021. The Secretary-General reiterated the United Nations’ continued support to the country in achieving long-term stability and sustainable development.
