Readout of the Secretary-General’s meeting with H.E. Ms. Maia Sandu, President of the Republic of Moldova 

The Secretary-General met today with H.E. Ms. Maia Sandu, President of the Republic of Moldova. The Secretary-General and the President exchanged views on developments in Moldova and the region. 

The Secretary-General underlined the UN’s support for Moldova’s reform efforts and active implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals. The Secretary-General reaffirmed the UN’s support for the OSCE-facilitated “5+2 Transnistria settlement process”.
