Readout of the Secretary-General’s meeting with H.E. Ms. Reem Al Hashimy, Minister of State for International Cooperation of the United Arab Emirates

The Secretary-General met with H.E. Ms. Reem Al Hashimy, Minister of State for International Cooperation of the United Arab Emirates. The Secretary-General commended the UAE for its generosity supporting international development, particularly in the context of equitable distribution of vaccines.  The Secretary-General and the Minister of State discussed peace and security issues in the region and ways the UN and the UAE can work together to address them. The Secretary-General expressed his hope for the success of Expo 2020 Dubai.
