Readout of the Secretary-General’s meeting with H.E. Mr. Francisco Ribeiro Telles, Executive Secretary of Community of Portuguese Speaking Countries

The Secretary-General met with H.E. Mr. Francisco Ribeiro Telles, Executive Secretary of the Community of Portuguese Speaking Countries (CPLP).  The Secretary-General reiterated his commitment to multilingualism and expressed the UN’s readiness to work closely with the CPLP in areas of common interest.  They exchanged views on the situation in Guinea-Bissau, in the lead up to the 24 November elections.
