The Secretary-General met with His Eminence Cardinal Pietro Parolin, Secretary of State of the Holy See. The Secretary-General and the Secretary of State exchanged views on movements of refugees and migrants, support to climate action and multilateralism. The Secretary-General expressed his appreciation for the mediation activities of the Holy See in different parts of the world and informed him of UN initiatives in the area of protection of holy sites.
