The Secretary-General met with H.E. Mr. Ashwin Adhin, Vice President of Suriname. The Secretary-General commended Suriname for its climate action initiatives, in particular hosting the High Forest Cover and Low Deforestation (HFLD) developing countries conference to address climate finance mobilization. They exchanged views on cooperation between the United Nations and Suriname.
