Readout of the Secretary-General’s meeting with H.E. Mr. Walid Al-Moualem, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the Syrian Arab Republic

The Secretary-General met with H.E. Mr. Walid Al-Moualem, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister for Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the Syrian Arab Republic. The Secretary-General reiterated the United Nations’ support for a political solution to the conflict, in accordance with Security Council resolution 2254 and the Geneva Communiqué, and the importance of achieving a credible and inclusive constitutional committee soon.
