The Secretary-General met with H.E. Mr. Heiko Maas, Federal Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Germany.
The Secretary-General expressed his appreciation for Germany’s strong support for the United Nations, across its three pillars, and his reform efforts of the Organization.
The Secretary-General and Mr. Maas agreed on the need to strengthen efforts to address climate change. They also exchanged views on a range of regional and global issues in light of Germany’s Security Council membership.
