Statement attributable to the Spokesman for the Secretary-General on the terrorist attack in France

The Secretary-General strongly condemns the terrorist attack in France earlier today. He commends the security forces, whose quick action helped save lives, and extends his condolences to the families of the victims, the people and the Government of France. He also wishes those injured a speedy recovery.
 
The United Nations stands in solidarity with the Government of France in its fight against terrorism and violent extremism.
