The Secretary-General met today with H. E. Mr. Lee Hsien Loong, Prime Minister of the Republic of Singapore.
 
The Secretary-General said he was looking forward to working with Singapore as the incoming ASEAN Chair in 2018, encouraging further substantive progress in concrete areas of the ASEAN-UN partnership.
 
The Secretary-General and the Prime Minister discussed the importance of Singapore-UN relations, especially with regard to sustainable development, international financial architecture, cyber-security and frontier issues. They also exchanged views on regional issues, including the situation in Rakhine State and South China Sea.
