Le Secrétaire général s’est entretenu aujourd’hui avec le Président de la Commission de l’Union africaine, Moussa Faki Mahamat. Ils se sont pleinement engagés à raffermir la coopération entre les Nations Unies et l’Union africaine à travers la mise en œuvre du Cadre commun ONU-Union africaine pour un partenariat renforcé en matière de paix et de sécurité, et de la résolution 2378 (2017) que le Conseil de Sécurité a adopté aujourd’hui à l’unanimité.
Le Secrétaire général et le Président Faki ont aussi discuté des situations d’intérêt commun.

The Secretary-General met today with the Chairperson of the African Union (AU) Commission, Moussa Faki Mahamat. They fully committed to further strengthen the cooperation between the United Nations and the African Union through the implementation of the Joint UN-AU Framework for Enhanced Partnership in Peace and Security, and of resolution 2378 (2017) which was adopted unanimously by the Security Council today.
The Secretary-General and the Chairperson also discussed a number of issues of mutual concern.
