Readout of the Secretary-General’s meeting with H.E. Mr. Abdel Fattah Al Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt

The Secretary-General met with H.E. Mr. Abdel Fattah Al Sisi, President of the Arab Republic of Egypt. The Secretary-General and the President exchanged views on a number of issues, including developments in the Middle East, Syria and Libya.

The Secretary-General congratulated Egypt on its work as a non-permanent member in the Security Council. The Secretary-General and the President also discussed efforts to combat terrorism.
