The Secretary-General met with H.E. Mr. Klaus Werner Iohannis, President of Romania. The Secretary-General and the President discussed areas of collaboration between Romania and the United Nations.
 
The leaders exchanged views on large movements of refugees and migrants. The Secretary-General and the President also discussed issues of peace and security in Eastern Europe, Western Balkans and the need for greater regional cooperation.
