The Secretary-General met today with H.H. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed bin Sultan Al Nahyan, the Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of the United Arab Emirates.
 
The Secretary-General thanked the Minister for the support of the United Arab Emirates to the work of the United Nations.
 
They discussed the important role of the United Arab Emirates in implementing the Sustainable Development Goals and on tackling climate change.
 
They also discussed regional developments, including in Syria, Yemen, Libya, Lebanon and Iraq.
