The Secretary-General met today with the Secretary General of the Organization of Islamic Cooperation (OIC), H.E. Mr. Iyad Ameen Madani, in Washington D.C.

The Secretaries-General discussed international efforts to counter violent extremism.

The Secretary-General had an exchange of views with Mr. Madani on the Middle East Peace Process and situations in Iraq, Yemen and Syria. The Secretary-General called for continued OIC support in addressing these issues.
