The Secretary-General met today with H.E. President Ollanta Moisés Humala Tasso of Peru. 

The Secretary-General thanked Peru for hosting the UN Climate Change Conference.

He expressed appreciation for Peru’s important contributions to the United Nations, including in the post-2015 development process and peacekeeping. 

They also discussed the Government’s human rights priorities, particularly with regard to indigenous people. 

The Secretary-General encouraged Peru to continue actively contributing to preparations for the United Nations General Assembly Special Session on the World Drug Problem in 2016.
