Readout of the Secretary-General’s meeting with H.E. Mr. Tuilaepa Aiono Sailele Malielegaoi, Prime Minister of Samoa

The Secretary-General met today with H.E. Mr. Tuilaepa Aiono Sailele Malielegaoi, Prime Minister Samoa.

The Secretary-General thanked the Prime Minister for Samoa’s leadership and role in hosting the Third International Conference on Small Island Developing States (SIDS). He also expressed appreciation for the close partnership of Samoa with the UN.

The Secretary-General and the Prime Minister also discussed Samoa’s contribution to peacekeeping, climate change and the post-2015 development agenda.
