Readout of the Secretary-General's meeting with H.E. Mr. Najib Mikati, Prime Minister of Lebanon in the margins of the Rio+20 Conference in Rio de Janeiro

 Secretary-General BAN Ki-moon today met with His Excellency Mr. Najib Mikati, Prime Minister of Lebanon.

The Secretary-General and the Prime Minister had an exchange of views on a number of regional issues, including international efforts with regard to Syria.

The Secretary-General also thanked Lebanon for the important role it plays supporting the work of the United Nations.
