Readout of the Secretary-General's meeting with H.E. Mr. Bruno Rodríguez Parrilla, Foreign Minister of Cuba in the margins of the 66th General Assembly

They discussed a range of subjects including progress in fulfilling the Millennium Development Goals, Cuba's relations with the United States of America, and Cuba's support to the Haitian people through the provision of medical services.

The Secretary-General noted Cuba's important economic adjustments. Both the Minister and the Secretary-General looked forward to collaborating within the United Nations framework on socio-economic issues, the maintenance of peace and revitalizing the work of the General Assembly.
