The Secretary-General met today with María Emma Mejía, Secretary General of the Union of South American Nations (UNASUR).
The Secretary-General congratulated Ms. Mejía on her appointment as UNASUR Secretary General and thanked her for UNASUR support for Haiti. The Secretary-General and Ms. Mejía discussed UNASUR's plans and possible areas of collaboration.
