Ladies and gentlemen,

We have discussed matters of common concern. I have expressed my sincere appreciation for his great leadership as President of France, as leader of the G-8 and G-20 who has demonstrated his great leadership in addressing climate change and addressing the financial crisis and many regional conflict issues.

The United Nations and France have been working together very closely. We appreciate such a great partnership, great support and contribution by the French government in many areas of peacekeeping.

I am very grateful for his full commitment to work together with the United Nations to seal the deal in Copenhagen on a globally acceptable climate change deal. He has shown great leadership as the President of the European Union last December to agree to the European Union energy and climate package deal and I sincerely hope that he will lead this campaign as one of the greatest leaders of the world.

We also discussed international governance matters. Also, we discussed many regional issues which President Sarkozy has just mentioned, on the situations in Darfur, Somalia, Iran, DRC and many other issues.

I'm very happy to have such strong support from the French President.
