The Secretary-General met with H.E. Mr. Jasem Mohamed Albudaiwi, Secretary General of the Cooperation Council for the Arab States of the Gulf. 
 
The Secretaries-General discussed issues of mutual interest and concern in the region, including the Middle East peace Process and Yemen. The Secretaries-General also discussed the upcoming United Nations Climate Change Conference (COP28) as well as cooperation between the two Organizations, including on counterterrorism.
