The Secretary-General met with H.E. Mr. Hakan Fidan, Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Türkiye.

The Secretary-General expressed his appreciation for the close cooperation between the
United Nations and Türkiye and the country’s efforts in addressing the global impact of the war in Ukraine, including through the Black Sea Initiative. 

The Secretary-General and the Minister also discussed the Cyprus issue as well as the situation in Syria.
