The Secretary-General met today with H.E. Ms. Giorgia Meloni, President of the Council of Ministers of the Republic of Italy. The Secretary-General commended Italy for hosting the 2023 Food System Stocktaking Moment. The Secretary-General and the President of the council of Ministers of Italy discussed Italy-UN cooperation as well as Italy’s priorities for its upcoming presidency of the G7 in 2024. They also exchanged views on the migration crisis and efforts to advance the Sustainable Development Goals in Africa.
