The Secretary-General met with H.E. Mr. Gustavo Petro Urrego, President of Colombia. The Secretary-General commended Colombia’s commitment to consolidate peace, notably the sustained implementation of the 2016 Final Peace Agreement with the former FARC-EP, and the ongoing peace talks with the ELN. They also discussed the fight against illicit drugs, including the importance of exploring new approaches, as well as migration and regional issues.

El Secretario General se reunió hoy con el Excelentísimo Señor Gustavo Petro Urrego, Presidente de Colombia. El Secretario General felicitó a Colombia por su compromiso con la consolidación de la paz, en particular a través de la implementación duradera del Acuerdo Final de Paz del 2016 con las antiguas FARC-EP y los diálogos de paz en curso con el ELN. También hablaron de la lucha contra las drogas ilícitas, incluyendo la importancia de explorar nuevos enfoques, así como de la migración y asuntos regionales.
