The Secretary-General met with H.E. Ms. Iris Xiomara Castro Sarmiento, President of Honduras. The Secretary-General and the President exchanged views on efforts to achieve the Sustainable Development Goals. They discussed progress related to the implementation of the Memorandum of Understanding for the future establishment of an international, impartial, independent and autonomous mechanism against corruption and impunity in Honduras. 
 
El Secretario General se reunió con la Excelentísima Señora Iris Xiomara Castro Sarmiento, Presidenta de la República de Honduras. El Secretario General y la Presidenta conversaron sobre los esfuerzos por alcanzar los Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible. Intercambiaron sobre los avances relacionados con la implementación del Memorando de Entendimiento para el futuro establecimiento de un mecanismo internacional, imparcial, independiente y autónomo contra la corrupción y la impunidad en Honduras.
