The Secretary-General met with H.E. Mr. Hakainde Hichilema, President of the Republic of Zambia. The Secretary-General and the President discussed the ongoing cooperation between the United Nations and Zambia. They also discussed sustainable development, economic stability and rule of law reforms in Zambia. The Secretary-General reiterated the United Nations’ continued support for Zambia’s national priorities and development aspirations, including on issues related to climate change.
