The Secretary-General met today with H.E. Mr. Igor Dodon, President of the Republic of Moldova. The Secretary-General and the President exchanged views on developments in Moldova and the region. The Secretary-General underlined the UN’s support for Moldova’s reform efforts and its active promotion of the implementation of the Sustainable Development Goals. The Secretary-General expressed the UN’s support for the OSCE-led “5+2 Transnistria settlement process”.
