The Secretary-General met with H.E. Mr. Ibrahim Boubacar Keïta, President of the Republic of Mali. The Secretary-General and the President discussed efforts underway to accelerate the implementation of the Peace Agreement as well as to develop a politically-led strategy to protect civilians and re-establish State authority in central Mali in line with Security Council resolution 2480 (2019). They further exchanged views on regional cooperation efforts, notably the G-5 Sahel Joint Force and the implementation of the United Nations integrated strategy for the Sahel.

Le Secrétaire général a rencontré S.E.M. Ibrahim Boubacar Keïta, Président de la République du Mali. Le Secrétaire général et le Président ont discuté des efforts en cours pour accélérer la mise en œuvre de l’Accord de paix et pour développer une stratégie politique pour protéger les civils et rétablir l’autorité de l’Etat au centre du Mali, conformément à la résolution 2480 (2019) du Conseil de sécurité. Ils ont aussi discuté des efforts de coopération régionale, notamment la Force conjointe du G-5 Sahel et la mise en œuvre de la stratégie intégrée des Nations Unies pour le Sahel.
