The Secretary-General met today with H.E. Mr. Mohamed Kamel Ali Amr, the Minister for Foreign Affairs of the Arab Republic of Egypt.

They discussed the ongoing democratic transition process in Egypt, including the forthcoming elections, to which the Secretary-General attaches great importance.

The Secretary-General and Mr. Amr also exchanged views on key regional peace and security issues, including developments in Libya.
