Readout of the Secretary-General's meeting with H. E. Li Baodong, Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of China

The Secretary-General met today with the Vice Minister of Foreign Affairs of China, H.E. Mr. Li Baodong. They discussed a wide range of issues including the 70th anniversary of the founding of the United Nations, commemorative meetings and activities to take place, and themes of discussion for the 70th General Assembly.

They also touched on the discussions on the post-2015 development agenda,  climate change issues and  Security Council reform.

The Secretary-General expressed his appreciation for China’s support to the work of the United Nations, and its strong engagement on climate change as well as the post-2015 development agenda.
