Readout of the Secretary-General's Meeting with H.E. Mr. Leonel Fernández Reyna, President of the Dominican Republic

The Secretary-General met today with H.E. Mr. Leonel Fernández Reyna, President of the Dominican Republic, on the margins of the UN Conference on Sustainable Development in Rio de Janeiro.

The Secretary-General and President Fernández discussed regional issues, including challenges to economic stability and investments.

The Secretary-General also took the opportunity to thank President Fernández for his support to neighbouring countries, and for his leadership in addressing global food prices volatility.
