Readout of the Secretary-General's meeting with Prime Minister Awn Khasawneh of Jordan

The Secretary-General and Prime Minister Khasawneh discussed a wide range of issues, including the Middle East peace process.

The Secretary-General expressed appreciation for reform measures taken by the government and encouraged the Prime Minister to continue with efforts for comprehensive and inclusive reforms. In this regard, he reiterated the United Nations' continued support to the Jordanian people and the United Nations' readiness to provide assistance as appropriate.
