Readout of the Secretary-General’s meeting with H.E. Mr. Joseph Muscat, Prime Minister of the Republic of Malta

The Secretary-General met today with H.E. Mr. Joseph Muscat, Prime Minister of Malta. The Secretary-General and the Prime Minister discussed recent developments in North Africa and the Horn of Africa including migration flows across the Mediterranean Sea and the situation of refugees in the region.

They also reviewed recent efforts to find a political solution to the conflict in Syria.
