Develop capacity through technical cooperation with Member States
Objectives:
This regional project aims to assist African Member States to determine the sources of contaminants on a national and regional scale and to strengthen their capacities to analyse radionuclides, organic and inorganic pollutants in marine samples to assess pollution levels and the risk for humans. It includes training of African scientists and the setting up of laboratories to measure radioactivity levels in environmental samples.
