Mr. Alhasan Eshawesh (Libya) is Third Secretary in the International Organisations Department of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and International Cooperation of Libya. He served as the national Focal Point to the Khartoum Process (a platform for political cooperation amongst the countries along the migration route between the Horn of Africa and Europe) and the United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (Terrorism Prevention Branch).

His responsibilities also included working on border management and security and combatting human trafficking. Alhasan holds a Bachelor’s degree in International Relations from Queen Mary, University of London and a Master’s degree in Security Studies from University College London. Arabic is his mother tongue and he is proficient in English.
